The Butterfly Effect is Ranjana Ghatak’s solo album, produced by Liran Donin (member of Mercury-Nominated band Led Bib) & performed with Liran and Jack Ross (member of Mercury-Nominated artist band Anna Meredith). The album was recorded in Monnow Valley Studios, Wales. Ranjana was inspired by the theory that the flap of a butterfly’s wings can have an impact across the planet, and how our own personal healing can affect the world around us.  The story of the album was shaped by her personal journey of transformation and opening up to new life.  Drawing upon inspiration from Sanskrit prayers, mystic poets, and her own writing - Ranjana, Liran and Jack have created a tapestry of sound based on the union of their musical worlds and interests. The material has been developed and performed in Kew Gardens, Saffron Walden, Bath International Music Festival, London Jazz Festival, Wigmore Hall and most recently the trio had the pleasure of opening for John McLaughlin and the 4th dimension in the Barbican Hall.
