about

Where do Women’s stories go? Bringing together elements of Hindustani, Western classical, and folk music, Her Stories was inspired by accounts from the community sent in response to the following prompts:

Q -Can you share a story of a woman from your family that had an impact on you or inspired you in some way?

Q - Is there something that you learnt about your history outside of traditional education that shifted your perspective on your heritage?

Tumho Meri Zameen celebrates the joy and love created through sisterhood and women raising each other’s voices in support of one another.

Nani’s Shawl tells of silence and sorrow between mothers and daughters through objects carried across the Indian partition.

Waves of Change draws on the incredible story of the young women of the Bangladesh Girls surf club as they fight to make choices driven by their love of the waves.
